John Larry Shepherd

Mr. John Larry Shepherd, age 49, of Sunset Drive, North Wilkesboro died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM, November 27, 2010 at Fairplains Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Mills and Dr. Mike Collier officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service at the church. Mr. Shepherd was born January 22, 1961 in Durham, NC to James Larry and Raydell Wagoner Shepherd. He worked for the Wilkes County Board of Education and the North Wilkesboro Police Department. He was a member of Fairplains Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, James Larry Shepherd. He is survived by his mother, Raydell Wagoner Shepherd of North Wilkesboro and one daughter, Lena Marie Shepherd of Jonesville Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the North Wilkesboro Police Department, P O Box 218, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. Officers of the North Wilkesboro Police Department will serve as pallbearers.
