Glad to have known John, good athlete , friend, husband and father.my sympathy to Cheryl and family.

I have so many great memories of JohnShulock....as our Jenna always called him...it was one word! He made us laugh. He spoiled us when he came to town. He made us feel loved. He was one of a kind and I know him and our Rodney had a big hug when they saw each other

I was fortunate enough to work with John´s crew several times in my first season. He let you focus on umpiring and took care of everything else that happened. Always appreciated that. Rest in peace.

I worked with John as a young umpire and he was very good to me sharing his knowledge, I enjoyed learning from him.
I am praying for his loved ones as they mourn.

John and I roomed together my 1st yr of umpiring spring training 1975 in Melbourne. He was a great mentor to me. May God be with the family in this time of sorrow. RIP John

My sympathies to Cheryl and the entire family. I was fortunate to be on the same crew with John in 1999, working 98 games together.
He truly did do it his way. I will always appreciate what I learned from John, and the laughs we shared that season.
