John J. "Jack" Simmerling, 77, July 18th; Artist. Cherished husband of Marjorie (nee MacCartney) for 55 years; loving father of John (Julie) Simmerling, Victoria (Christopher) Sobczak, Carlos Simmerling, Mary Simmerling (Thomas Epting), Meg (Paul) Faeh, the late Catherine (Kirk) Shepherd and the late Elizabeth Simmerling; most adoring grandfather of Katherine, John Andrew, Thomas, Matthew, Cary John, Stephen, Maria, Paul, Kalven Jack, Wilson Jack, Graham and Eliza. Memorial visitation Monday, July 22 from 4-8PM at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church 9300 S. Pleasant Ave., Chicago. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11AM also at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church. Interment Private. I can't believe time has gone so fast. I will not ever forget Jack and his family. I have been a long time customer at Heritage Gallery and am still using their unique skills to create a good feeling in my home and for friends. I feel we have lost a very good friend and hope to keep in touch with Vicki to maintain that friendship.
I will not forget the great times I spent going through the gallery and picturing their artwork in my home. Jack will never be forgotten. I see his work every day.
