John Sorge Obituary
John served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and worked at GE for 32 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the GE Quarter Century Association. He enjoyed kayaking, camping, traveling, fishing, and rollerblading.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Roseanne Kosiorek Sorge; two sons, John Sorge (Natalie), and Jeffrey Sorge, all of Girard; four grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, Jacinda, and Justin; one brother, Armand Sorge (Sylvia Tubbs) of Erie; one sister, Mary Orzechowski (Francis) of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Monday February 24, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at a future date in Mount of Olives Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, 9367 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16509.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
