Dear Rose,
I was sorry to hear of John's death. You and he have been faithful friends for a long time. I wish I could be at the funeral, but my mobility is limited. I did, however, say Mass for John this morning at my retirement home. It was fittingly the Mass of St. Denis whom John will now meet in heaven.
Love,
Father Cody

Knowing John was a pleasure. He had a certain joy within him that radiated into every relationship he had. He had a wonderful mixture of innocence and authority making him a lovely and inspiring person to know.

As a father, he imbued honesty and integrity as well as kindness into each of his children who passed it on to their children, who are passing it on to their children......a wonderful inheritance.

I have no doubt that he is with the angels.
