Dr. Starkey, always smiling, friendly and knew your name. What a wonderful Christian man. My prayers for the entire family. One of my memories of him singing in the choir at First Baptist Church. Dr. John Starkey was our leader, friend, and fellow traveler on our Christian road. He was the one we would turn to when we needed the truth and the right direction for our lives. To say he will be missed is an understatement for he will always be our leader.
