My favorite memory of Uncle Johnny was the time we were visiting he and Paula in Houston. We had spent the day out seeing the sites and had to leave Rowdy , the dog, at home. Unknown to Johnny we had purchased some fake doggy doo and we put in on the carpet before Johnny came back in the house. He was so sympathetic and worried that Rowdy had an upset stomach. He got a paper towel and carefully picked up the doo. As he was "cleaning up" after Rowdy we grabbed the doo right out of his hand and licked it! I thought he was going to have a heart attack right there! It got away with him so bad. We all had a great laugh and told this story many times throughout the years. Thank you for the fun and laughter and all the wonderful stories Uncle Johnny. Fly high!

Meeting John and Paula on the dock for him and my husband, Ron Beougher, to board a US Navy carrier for an extended long cruise. The beginning of an over 50 year friendship.
