John "Jack" E. Stephany, 95, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, with his loving family at his side. He was born on July 24, 1930, a son of the late Elmer and Gertrude (Michaels) Stephany.

Jack graduated from North Fond du Lac High School in 1948. He married Ilene Stettbacher on June 16, 1951.

Jack was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and his cabin up north.

Survivors include his children, Alice (Roger) Fields, Kay (Jeffrey) Ruecker of Fond du Lac, James (Julie) Stephany of Kronenwetter, Christine (John) Peebles of Oshkosh, and Mark (Sherri) Stephany of South Dakota. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Casey (Emily) Fields, Jenny (Kevin) Loehr, Derek (Michelle) Stephany, Lindsey (Steven) Slack, Jacob (Alexandra) Stephany, Sarah (Paul) Gatlin, Jasen (Sarah) Stephany, Maggie (fiancé, Jonas Reid) Peebles, and Jordan Peebles. Great-grandchildren, Jackson and Tommy Fields, Zach and Maddie Loehr, Jack, Sam, and Will Stephany, Elliott, Vivian, and Daphne Slack, Sonny, Whit, and Hugo Stephany, Porter and Piper Gatlin. He is also survived by his brother, Karl Stephany; sisters, Margaret (Pete) Meyer and Sharon Schenk; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ilene; son, Robert; his parents; siblings and in-laws, Andrea and Richard Patin, Leo and Ruth Stephany, Lois and Leo Zinniel, Dan Schenk; and special friend, Shirley Henslin.

A Celebration of Jack's life will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00PM at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, 51 Sheboygan St, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Cremation has taken place. A private Inurnment will be at Rienzi Cemetery Mausoleum.

The Family would like to extend a Thank You to the Staff at SSM Health, St. Francis Home and Hospice Home of Hope for their care and compassion shown to Jack.
