John Robert Stevens was born May 12, 1941 in Phoenix, AZ and died December 29, 2025 in Prescott, Arizona.
John is survived by his wife Jette Stevens, his son David A. Stevens, his granddaughter Geneva A. Stevens, Step-Daughter Amy Ellis, and by his first wife Joan E. Byrd.
John was predeceased by his Father Leonard A. Stevens, Mother Roberta G. Stevens, Daughter Lisa Arlene Stevens, Brothers Richard and Mike Stevens, and his Sister Diane Ross.
After his USAF service (1960-1966) John was employed for 10 years by Peterbilt Motors Company. Beginning in 1978 John owned and operated Stevens Tax Services, first in Pleasanton, California, then in Sebastopol, California. In September 2001 John and Jette moved to Prescott, where John continued to provide income tax and IRS representation services to his valued clients, until his retirement in 2017.
While living in Prescott John was an active member of the American Legion Post 6 Honor Guard, where he was honored to serve for 10 years as Second Assistant Bugler.
