Man, just saw this. Knew John through mutual friends in Philly. He did stand-up but he was funny and smart-funny all the time. Great guy and will be missed a lot.

For those of you who didn't know John, you missed out. He was a fun, funny guy who had big ideas and was a master storyteller. He also generated a ton of stories just by being John Stone. I went to UArts with him, worked at Lily Langtry's Dinner Theatre with him and did my best to keep in touch with him through the years. He spent a few holidays with my family and, for years now, my oldest son Luke always mentions him in our family's nightly prayers. Here's a diner picture with Joshua Taback , David P. Ramos , John and I was after we saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It was a great weekend of just hanging out. John wrote the following on Facebook after that time together: "...as I reflect on the past couple of days and the times I spent with friends Josh, Dave and Chris in college and the great night we had together seeing this amazing film, I am grateful, almost in a selfish way, that I was given this chance to value one more memory or two, and 100 more laughs or more, with the people I love with a film that we all grew up on and made us nerds in cool clothing (so we think)... I love you guys And I tip my hat To the Fab Four: Ramos, Taback, Mich and Stone. I will always be flattered to be part of ANY circle of friends Especially this one. Thank you for the acceptance." My friend is now one with the Force. Rest In Peace, John.

Stone! I am so very sorry I wasn't there for you more. I'll always think of you when I sit down at a greasy, Philly dinner to eat scrapple and eggs and COFFEE!!! Always good for a laugh or a cry or a whatever. Hey, remember when we broke that cue stick, and the music we made? One thing that I'm thankful for is the pain is over for you. So long for now... Until we meet again. Your friend, your brother, David
