I´m so sorry to read of John´s passing. He was a wonderful XO and family man. I was his secretary at NAVSTA Subic Bay. He´d walk into the office and say "you gotta buy gold, Wanda. He ran the org. I have so many fond memories of him. My condolences to Nancy and his children.

John was a great sailor, patriot and sailor. I learned a lot from him on the William H. Standley (CG-32) while Boilers Officer. Fair winds and following seas shipmate!
