John Howard Stutzman, 65, died April 24, 2024, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. He was born August 3, 1958 in Sigourney, Iowa to Harold and Lela (Hershberger) Stutzman. He graduated from English Valleys High School in 1976 and he attended the University of Northern Iowa College. John returned to Kinross to help his dad on the farm. On November 20. 1982, he married Carol Northup at the Sigourney Christian Church. John was a owner, operator of his semi-truck, he drove for local farmers around the area. Carol and John set out to drive the lower 48 pulling a lot of experimental and government trailers. John retired from trucking after an accident in 2002 that he left him unable to drive.

John enjoyed video taping, making videos for his family and friends. He enjoyed speaking at the Delta Christian Church, listening to sermons, spreading the word of the Lord and reading the bible. John’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren Elsie and Eli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother and father in law.

He is survived by his wife Carol, sons Sean (Leane) Stutzman, Dillon (Brittany) Stutzman all of Sigourney, two grandchildren Elsie Mae Stutzman and  Eli  Stutzman, four brothers Jerry (Carol) Stutzman of Texas, Jim Stutzman of Illinois, Stan (Phyllis) Stutzman of Kinross, Don Stutzman of Kinross, sister Mary Stutzman of Kinross and several nieces and nephews.
