John Edward Tancraitor, 64, of Conyers, Georgia, passed away June 15, 2025, of complications arising from non-cancerous brain tumors.
John was born on June 26, 1960, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is survived by his wife, Susan Emile Tancraitor; his mother, Barbara Ruth Tancraitor; his brothers, Paul Jerome Tancraitor (Karen) and Ronald Joseph Tancraitor (Nina); and his sister, Anita Louise Profumo (Dusty). He was preceded in death by his father, Paul John Tancraitor.
Among John's most treasured memories were those of being an altar boy at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, located outside of Pittsburgh in Penn Hills. John was an industrial maintenance foreman and mechanic for structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication for nearly forty years, most recently at TomCO Systems in Loganville, Georgia.
He was beloved for his bright and fun personality, his love of cats and dogs, especially strays, and admired for his ability to fix just about anything and his uncanny knack for coming up with the perfect nickname for anyone. He loved his family and friends deeply and held his dear mom close in his heart.
All are warmly welcomed to attend John's service and celebration of life held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends after the service until 4:30pm.
