On June 3, 2023, age 99, of Monroeville; Beloved husband of the late Julia Tapper ; Father of Charles (Beth) Tapper and the late David Tapper; Father-in-law of Judith Tapper; Grandfather of Tracey (Steven) Ruby, Brian, Scott, Sarah, Joe, Kattie, and Emily Tapper; Great Grandfather of Max Ruby; brother of the late Robert, Betty Ann, Kenneth Tapper, and Ann Cox. John proudly retired from the United States Marine Corps after 30 years of service. Interment and Military Honors will be rendered at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements entrusted to Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd.
