John Keith Thomas "Keith"
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Keith Thomas, "Keith," age 61, in Taylor, Arizona. He passed away unexpectedly on the morning of November 27, 2025. Born on April 28, 1964, in Pekin, Illinois, he was the son of William Ray Thomas and Sharon Kay Hopkins.
Growing up in Castro Valley and Pleasanton, California, Keith was raised around horses, riding broncs and bullfighting.
Keith worked in plumbing, as a ready-mix driver, and pursued his true passion as a horse wrangler at Porter Mountain Stables. Keith loved to ride horses, roping, spending time with his family, and being a grandpa. He had the absolute best sense of humor, was an amazing husband, dad, and "Pop-Pop." He welcomed anyone who needed a safe place into his home and loved them like they were his own children. He was truly selfless in every way possible and never held a grudge against anyone. He absolutely loved his work, and having his work family with him was so important to him.
Keith is survived by his wife, Chandra Thomas, and his six children: Cassidy (Kaylab), Austin (Baylee), Bailey (Rey), Josie, Shelly, and Tyce. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren: Alice, Lilah, Taycee, Marlee, Sharleen, Tripp, Rey Jr., Brielle, Maddox, Daisy, Easton, Madilynn, Karsin, and Garrett; his mother, Sharon Williams; his sister, Irish (Ryan); his nephew, Spencer; and his niece, Riane.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Thomas, and his nephew, Chad.
His Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2026; the date is yet to be determined.
