John B. Tiemann, 85, Cameron, Missouri, formerly St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025.

He was born November 24, 1939 to Harry John Henry and Marian Elizabeth (Meyers) Tiemann in Northboro, Iowa.

In 1970, John married the love of his life, Edith Marie McCoy. For twenty-three years, they shared an unbreakable bond until her passing on February 28, 1993.

John graduated from Tarkio High School in 1958. After high school, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, John found his calling as a mechanic, a vocation he pursued with passion for nearly five decades. He became a master mechanic for the local school bus company, ensuring the safety of countless children over his tenure. His dedication to his work was particularly evident every March when he handled State Inspections with great seriousness and attention to detail.

He was an avid camper, often found sharing laughs, stories, and riding four-wheelers with friends at Pizz Ridge Campground. His love for country music and John Wayne movies was well-known, as was his fondness for fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Edith; children, John Burton Tiemann, Jr. and Patricia Dee Tiemann; siblings, Marvin Tiemann, Shirley Tritico, and Donna Corbett; step grandson, Buster Batey.

Survivors include his children, Marie Miller (LeeRoy) and Paul B. Tiemann; grandchildren, John Miller (Holly), Rachel James (Ryan), Dakota Tiemann (Abby), and Andrew Tiemann (Katie); grandchildren, Quentin and Cadence Miller, Hadassah, Rhema, and Amanah James, Madelyn and Waylon Tiemann; stepson, Roland Batey; step grandchildren, Misty Moreland, Tony Batey, and Kim Sue Batey; numerous nieces and nephews.
