John Anthony Sprouse, 56, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on March 9, 2026. He was born on April 9, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to John B. Sprouse and Wilma (Sparks) Sprouse.
John, affectionately known a Tony spent much of his life building a career in the hospitality industry. He served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Holiday Inn, where he was known for his professionalism, leadership, and ability to connect with people. Colleagues and friends admired his dedication to his work and the positive energy he brought into every room. He is a 1987 Morris High School graduate and a graduate of OSU in Stillwater.
Tony made his home in Aurora, Colorado. He had strong family roots in Oklahoma and maintained close relationships with his extended family throughout his life. He was also affiliated with local organizations including Morris Fuller Lodge, reflecting his commitment to community and fellowship.
He is survived by his father, John B. Sprouse of Dewar, Oklahoma; his aunts Marilyn Sprouse, Gayla Anson, Debra and Lloyd Cobb, and Omega Carson; as well as several cousins and extended family members. He is also survived by special family members Sherry Whitlow and Mike, Gary Sparks and Lynn, and Jeff Sparks and Amy, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory. He is also survived by special friends, Kelsey and Aubrey Kossakowski, as well as, Kelly and Sherry Ingold.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Sparks Sprouse.
Tony will be remembered for his warm personality, his dedication to his family, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Gary Sparks, Jeff Sparks, Dillon Caywood, Nick Caywood, Rhett Whitlow and Ty Whitlow.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Dennis Bible officiating with eulogy by Gary Sparks. Interment will follow in Council Hill Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
