John Ray Vaile

John Ray Vaile, 81, passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 16, 2024, surrounded by family in Carthage, Missouri. John was born July 29, 1943, and adopted by Ray and Daisy (Hewig) Vaile. John attended school in Carthage and worked for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department. John was also a Freemason.
John was united in marriage to Brenda Jo Hartman on May 23, 1962, in Diamond, Missouri; she survives.
John is survived by his wife, Brenda; three daughters, Kathy Killman (Leonard) of Wichita, Kansas, Johnna Harpole (Dan) of Lexington, North Carolina, and Brittany Perrin (Patrick) of Sarcoxie, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by five siblings.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024. The burial will follow services at Diamond Cemetery in Diamond.
