John Vines Obituary
Mr. Vines was born November 29, 1944 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Holly Ridge.
Mr. John was a devoted husband, dad, and a remarkable artist. He was Chief of the Boeuf River Band of Cherokee, Barak Shrine Temple Member, Scottish Rite Temple Member, and Free Mason Member. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara H. Vines; parents, Horace and Lugenia Vines; son, Jay Michael Coltharp; siblings, Will Vines, Douglas Vines, Joe Vines, Jimmy Vines, Ruth Ellen Vines, and Ida June Vines.
Survivors include his children, Christopher "Todd" Coltharp, Megan Vines, Julie Vines, and John Jeremy Vines; grandchildren, Camron Vines, Zachary Coltharp, Michaela Coltharp, Jacob Coltharp, Joshua Coltharp, Miranda Weathersby, Colton Gillespie, and Kaden McLean; siblings, Mary Helen Laird and Margaret Rush
Visitation is 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA.
