John Wahl Jr. Obituary
A 1952 Lakeside High School (Seattle) graduate, John attended the University of Washington before serving his country in the US Army for two years. A lifelong Washington resident, John worked as a logger, rancher and business owner before retiring from Boeing after a long career in sales.
An enthusiastic Freemason, John was recognized for 25 years of service as a member of Crescent Lodge #109 F. & A. M., Enunclaw, and was also active with Thornton F. McElroy Lodge #302, Federal Way.
Because he loved fishing and boating, John chose Port Angeles as his home in retirement. He was active with the yacht club for a time and for many years John was the Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby Race top ticket seller; each May he could be found at the downtown Port Angeles Safeway selling tickets.
John A. Wahl Jr. was laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery on November 22, 2023.
He is survived by his loving daughters Valerie Wahl (Spokane) and Lisa Wahl (Olympia), 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
