JOHN WAS THE FIRST PERSON I MET AT OVERNITE, AND IT IS TRUE, HE WAS HARD TO GET TO KNOW ,BUT ONCE YOU DID YOU HAD THE DEAREST FRIEND YOU COULD EVER HAVE HOPED FOR. HE WAS SMART AND FUNNY AND TOLD IT LIKE IT WAS ,WHILE NOT TAKING ANY CRAP FROM ANYONE, INCLUDING HIS ILLNESS. WE WOULD GO TO LUNCH 1CE A WEEK FOR MANY YEARS, JUST SIT,CHAT AND ENJOY EACH OTHERS COMPANY, WHAT A HELL OF A GUY.
I LOVED HIM AND WILL MISS DEARLY, HE WAS ONE OF MY TRUE FREINDS.I HAD THE HONOR OF KNOWING HIS FAMILY AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO THEM. I WILL MISS HIM GREATLY BUT HE WILL BE IN MY HEART FOREVER. GOOD BYE MY DEAR SWEET JOHN, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU AND YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. THANKS FOR ALL THE KINDNESS GENEROUSITY AND LOVE YOU ALWAYS SHOWED ME. MOST OF ALL THANKS FOR BEING A GREAT FREIND, I LOVE YOU!

I worked with John at Overnite on the dock. John was a tough cookie to let you into his world, but when he did you were there for a lifetime. John took my wedding photo's & I will never forget him. My condolences go out to his entire family.

Johnny was as tough a guy as I have ever known..we had a bond as he did with many people. My heart and soul will hold his humor and wit through his illness forever. He was truely"ONE OF A KIND".

We are truly sad to hear about John's passing. You're right about him being a fighter and he always held his head high even when he was feeling down. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God give you strength to make it through this difficult time.
We will miss you!!
I'm sure he is now flying high in the sky!!

I knew John for only 4 years. He was the first person I met when I came to the Overnite/UPS family. He was my trainer/mentor at first, but became my true friend shortly thereafter. He is one of the smartest and funniest men I have ever met. He wil be greatly missed.

I am truly sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person. I only knew John for such a little while but he showed myself and others how to stay strong through such a hard time.I know the family will take after Johns example through this hard time and stay strong too. All my best to the family and friends who lost someone very dear to them. May he rest in peace.

God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be,
He closed his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me".
In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away.
Our hearts were almost broken, you fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain,
We could not wish you back to suffer so again.
So keep your arms around him Lord, and give him special care.
Make up for all he suffered and all that seemed unfair.
WE WILL FIND A CURE BUNGY TWIN!!!!
Condolences to the family
John will be greatly missed!

We will miss your quick wit. Your generosity and bluntness. Your loyalty and kindness. You were more than just our friend, you were part of our chosen family.

John gave it a tough fight, he was the toughest of the tough in dealing with this demon, he kept his spirits up and everyones around him even in his weakest moments. He never faultered. I am honored to have known John all of these years that I have. I am proud that we became such good friends and I have so many memories of our fun and wacky times together and I will cherish each one forever and he will always have a place in my heart. {Bunjy Twin you will be missed greatly!} My heartfelt condolences to the Family.

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
john know that you will be missed very much and will always in my heart love ya
