I am saddened to hear of Johns passing. I never got a oppertunity to see John in person.His song "Sun aint gonna shine Anymore" is one of my all time favorites.

I met John Walker in the sixties in Malta where he and Gorden Waller had teamed up to play a set nightly in a Nightclub called 'The Whisper' They mostly played Buddy Holly covers and were very popular with me and my friends in the British Army. During the day we used to meet up for a few beers in local bars on the Island. John was great company and a great performer. He is a great loss to showbusiness at such a comparative early age and I send my condolences to his wife & family.

John Walker really knew how to make a tune into a "song that stays with you for more than 40 years". "The Sun ain't Going to Shine Anymore" , is one of my top 5 favorites. I wish that I had had the chance to see him perform in person. He a good voice and is one of Rock'n'Rolls giants from the 1960's. My condolences to the family.

having growing up and playing guitar myself during the 60's. my band covered a few of the w brothers tunes and the crowd always enjoyed them. there was something special and unique about his work that made it stand out from the rest so uniquely. i am sure he was the same in real life. may G od bless his family and may the know john touched alot of friends he never knew. thinking he might still be writing and singing for that big choir in the sky.

I am so sad to hear of his passing. The Sun Ain't Going to Shine Anymore is one of my all time favorite songs, just a beautiful song. He had such a wonderful voice. My sincerest sympathy to the family and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Back in the day, weird hair, great voices. The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore was a phenomenal song. Rest in peace.

John Walker was and will always be one of my favorite singers. The Walker Bros. hit "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" has had a profound influence on many musicians including myself with their unique "Wall of Sound" coming out of Britain. My prayers go out to the family. You can be very proud in knowing that your husband, father, and grandfather left a lasting legacy on the entire world.

This was a good band. Remembering their songs brings back a lot of good memories of my High School days.
