John Andrew "Andy" Waters

Mr. John Andrew "Andy" Waters of Chatsworth, Georgia, born December 11, 1982, passed from this life on Saturday, April 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles H. Richards and DeLara Bette Richards, Pauline (Granny) and Leonard Waters, his aunts Betty Hammett, Teri Richards and Paulette Townsend. He is survived by his loving parents and family, Johnny and Kathi Waters, his children, Madalyn Jade, John Trippton Lee and Presley Rose; his brother Jason (Sissy) Waters; sisters, Jodi (Craig) Matter and Brittney (Benji) McConkey. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
A 2001 graduate of Murray County High School, Andy went on to study Business Management at Dalton State College before joining the family business, CIMBAR Resources Inc., as Director of Product Development. He also worked as a Firefighter with the City of Chatsworth from 2003 to 2008, a calling he was passionate about.
Andy was adventurous and loved the outdoors enjoying many activities including fishing, boating, hiking, snow skiing, and horseback riding, to name a few, but he loved his family most, devoting his time to their well-being and happiness. He was a beautiful and gentle soul who always had a smile and kind words for everyone he met. He was a loving and devoted son who brought years of wonder and joy to his parents. He was a loving and devoted father who loved his children and every moment spent with them. He enjoyed and supported their interests and hobbies spending countless hours at the schools they attended or at the recreation centers where they played. He had an incredible presence in so many lives, and he will forever be remembered as someone who loved with all his heart, someone who was humble, gracious and kind, and someone who could light up a room with his smile and give the best and warmest hugs, always being the last to let go.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. John Andrew "Andy" Waters will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Young officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
