John R. Wedge Jr.

1952 - 2025

John R. Wedge Jr., 73, of Latrobe, passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at his home. Born Feb. 25, 1952, in Latrobe, he was the son of Dolores L. (Harr) Wedge of Youngstown and the late John R. Wedge. John retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member and past commander of the VFW Post No. 3414 and a member of the American Legion Post No. 515 and the Frontier Club. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandy Lettieri. Besides his mother, John is survived by his wife, Patricia (Myers) Wedge, of Latrobe; a stepson, Edward Ross, and his wife, Susan, of Erie; a stepdaughter, Carrie Ault (Greg McCabe), of Harrison City; five grandchildren, Salvatore Lettieri, James Ross, Amanda Ross, Caide Ault (Titus), and Caitlin Ault; one great-grandchild, Ellowyn; his sister-in-law, Karen; and brother-in-law, Tom Frankinburg, of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews. As per John's wishes, there will be no public visitations. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
