It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of John Alan Welch age 71. Mr. Welch went to his Heavenly Home on November 21 while at McLeod RMC with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Spring Branch Baptist Church. Rev. Buddy Amerson and Rev. Richard Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
John was born in Hartsville, a son of the late John Horace Welch and Margaret Corbett Welch. He was a devoted member of Spring Branch Baptist Church, which he loved very much to attend. He was a dedicated employee at Napa Auto Parts where he retired after 54 years of service. He was a loving family man and a cherish friend to many and was a hard worker.
Surviving is his loving wife, Marie Gainey Welch, Hartsville; two sons, John H. Welch, Hartsville and Allan Ray Welch, Hartsville; one daughter, Dawn Player, Patrick; two sisters, Karen (Edward) Malphus, Timmonsville and Eileen (Ken) Jones, Hartsville.
