John Robert Whitmoyer

John R. Whitmoyer went to be with our Heavenly Father early Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was 76 years old. He was born on May 3, 1949 in Bloomsburg, PA to Ralph Whitmoyer and Elizabeth Ross Whitmoyer. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Ralph Whitmoyer, Jr.

John served in the United States Navy for two years and was a Vietnam Veteran. John was a faithful and devoted member of Jordan's Crossing Church in the Holland area of Suffolk, Va.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia Whitmoyer, two brothers, James "Jim" Whitmoyer, his wife, Trish Whitmoyer and their family, and Edward "Ed" Whitmoyer, his wife, Dawn Whitmoyer and their family. He is also survived by his children, Jonathan Mann, Stephen Mann, his fiancée, Crystal Reyes and their children Matthew Mann, Mia Paluncho and Victoria Hazard and great grandchildren Luci and Kehlani Hazard, Alicea Clark, her husband, Jeremy Clark and their children, Taylor Devericks, Jordan Smith and Cameron Wray, Amy Cheaney, her husband Josh Cheaney, and their children, Kaleb Cohen and Joshua Cheaney, Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11AM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Downtown Suffolk Chapel with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 6-7:30PM at the funeral home. John wished to be cremated following services and will be interred at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
