I met John when he moved into the duplex next to me. We would always wave and say hello when we saw each other, sometimes speaking for 15 minutes catching up with each other's lives. He could always make me smile and laugh brightening up my day. One of his favorite things in the world was his Volkswagen Beetle. I always saw him doing something with it or sitting in it when I walked outside. I guess that's why he named his beloved dog Bug. John was always so positive about everything. He told me about his last surgery and said "What ever happens happens" as he shrugged his shoulders. I will miss him dearly but I know he's in a much better place now.
