John, was one of the nicest people around. I always enjoyed meeting up with him and Carol at our alumni banquets for Bolivar. You could talk hours with them and always felt comfortable. Until we meet again play your dice baseball and pool! Love ya

Earlier today

What overrides my enormous grief at John's passing is the gratitude of him considering me as a friend. What started out as a professional relationship some 40+ years ago evolved into a close personal relationship that I have cherished since we met. We ran together in CNY events, played basketball at the Oneida YMCA and lost touch for too many years as I moved from the area. We reconnected & had the chance to partner on an awesome charitable event in Philadelphia several years ago, sending a young boy with a terminal cancer diagnosis to his 1st NBA game in a limo, with team jerseys for him & his mom, a goumet dinner @ the arena & the experience of meeting the star players after the game. We RV'd together in recent years & routinely spoke on the phone about our families, our health & our past & future endeavors as if we'd never missed a beat. His humor and sage advice is something I will never forget and his love for Carol and his family will be one of the things I remember most about him. R.I.P, my friend. I am among the many whom will always love you and cherish your memory.
