John Ferris Wilcox, 73, of St. Paul, passed away unexpectedly, one day before his 74th birthday, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Arbor Care Center in Ord.
John donated his body to the Nebraska Anatomical Board in Omaha, when studies are completed, he will be cremated and his ashes will be returned to his wife.
Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.
John was born on July 17, 1951, at Herlong, CA, the son of Dorval and Ruby (Irvin) Wilcox. He received his education and grew up in California. He later moved to Nebraska where he worked in construction and factory work.
He was united in marriage to Jean A. DeLancey on June 5, 1998, in Fullerton. The couple lived in the Central Nebraska area.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of St. Paul; step-sons, Charlie and Troy of California; and his brothers, Rockne Powers of California and Jim Wilcox of Fullerton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
