John A. Wirrick, 80, Lilly, passed away Sunday morning, December 8, 2024, at Martha’s Manor to his heavenly home. Born December 6, 1944, a twin son of the late Arthur and Grace (Sweeney) Wirrick. John fought a long and courageous battle of 7 years of cancer, and this past year of a broken heart and several other illnesses. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Gay (Baldwin) Wirrick on September 10, 2023 and a half-sister, Mary. He is survived by his 2 loving daughters, Priscilla Ritchey and Ruth Ann Smith-Miller (Clark); 4 grandchildren, Josh Ritchey, Joe (Taylor) Ritchey, Nicole (Dylan) DeGol, and Chad (V) Smith; 3 great-grandchildren, Tandon Ritchey and Jaina and Jason DeGol; 6 brothers, Arthur (Louise), Samuel (Pat), Daniel, Phillip (Jayne), twin brother Paul (Marcia) and Raymond (Elsie). John loved spending time with his family. He worked as a farmer, mechanic, truck driver and a handyman. After retirement he enjoyed helping at Martha’s Manor and The Helping Hand Rescue Mission. He most enjoyed fixing and working on things to get them running and working again. He truly was a mechanic of all trades. At his request, a private viewing will be held for his family.
