John Walter Thomas Woolsey
May 4, 1959 - February 12, 2024
Our beloved husband, stepfather and grandfather, John Walter Thomas Woolsey, departed this earth at the age of 64 after battling a long illness. John resided in
Mays Landing, New Jersey with his wife Melissa by his side. Together he and his wife have shared 9 beautiful years together and enjoyed the love of their 3 living children and 9 beautiful grandchildren. John was born on May 4, 1959 in New York City and was the youngest of six children. He enjoyed his career in bartending and casino security. He was an amazing Pool Player and enjoyed Golf and Poker.
He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond Woolsey and Margaret {Peggy} Haight Woolsey as well as his brothers, Thomas, Richard and Robert Woolsey. John is survived by his siblings Raymond and Margaret (Margy) and nephew Brian and Michelle Woolsey and children, Liam and Ellie Woolsey. Neice April and Dave Olsen and son Linney. On his wife's family side, John is survived by his stepsons Ryan and Heather Duchaine, Stephen Alexander Hester, Sean and Lauren Hester and all his beautiful grandchildren Reagan, Tyler, John Peyton, Morgan, Jase, Issaac, Brantley, Jaycee and Carson and his favorite in-laws James and Joann Bell, James and Kathy Bell, Reginia and Kevin Daily and Teresa Bell. John had so many friends but Paulie Patzner, you were his brother and partner in crime. You meant the world to him and he couldn't have had a better friend...you meant the world to him.
John participated in the Gurwin Jewish Rehab Facility where he attended in Long Island, New York and was surrounded by all the love of friends that supported him in his journey. At age 54 he finally got his family and is blessed with so much love in his life. John had a wonderful sense of humor. John always wanted to live his life his way and that is exactly what he did. He did it his way!!!
