Robert Edward Fregia, Sr., born on October 3, 1956, in Liberty, Texas, departed this life on January 17, 2026. A devoted family man, Robert's heart was as vast as the Texas sky, embracing everyone around him with warmth and care. He was a steadfast presence in the lives of his loved ones, ensuring that he was always there when they needed him most.
Throughout his life, Robert was known for his incredible work ethic and his unfailing love for his family. He was a man who believed in hard work and dedicated himself to every task at hand. He leaves behind a brother, Johnny Fregia (Christine), and sisters, Ruby Nugent and Rosie Brown (Jimmy). His grandchildren—Sean Smith, Payton Touchet, Kenzie Varner (John), Aliyah Pena, Anthony Pena, Caleb Pena, Kaislee Dills, Marlon Riley, Hunter Marceaux, Rylie Marceaux (Reese), Wyatt Weaver, D-Avion Griffin, and Aubree Fregia—were a source of immeasurable joy for him. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ruthey and Cullen Fregia; his siblings Mary Nugent and Donald Fregia; his loving wife, Tammy Fregia; and his grandson, Kevin Fregia. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and their memories brought both solace and strength to him throughout his life.
