John M Wright II of St. Charles, IL passed away on May 17, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his family.

John was born to John and Joan Wright in Milwaukee, WI, March 20, 1959. Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he graduated from Father Gabriel Richard High School and went on to the University of Michigan briefly playing football for Bo Schembechler. He then transferred to Marquette where he met the love of his life, his wife, Mary Beth (Armato).

John is survived by his wife, Mary Beth (Armato), three children, John Michael Wright III (Maria) of Grafton, WI, Daniel Wright (Emily) of Wauwatosa, WI, Courtney Wright (Fiancé Brandon Fabian) of Union Grove, WI, seven grandchildren; John Michael IV, Elizabeth, Zelie, Dominic, Andrew, Lily and Lucia, four siblings; Patrick Wright of Stockbridge, MI, Pamela (Jeff) Purcell of St. Charles, IL, Timothy Wright (Jean) of Cumming, GA, Jeff Wright of Fishers, IN, 14 nieces and nephews and his aunt, Nancy Staab of Monroe, LA. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joan Wright, infant brother, Daniel, grandparents, Harry & Nina Wright, Hugo & Ruth Pawer, uncle, Monsignor Patrick Wright, aunts, Marilyn and Eileen, sisters-in-law, Karen and Stephanie, and his mother and father- in-law, Jane and Joseph Armato.

John worked in medical sales for most of his professional career. John's work was marked by integrity and commitment to excellence, which extended to his top two priorities in life: faith and family. He took his vocation to love others and the Lord seriously, and love well he did. He poured his heart and soul into raising his family, building family legacy, serving others, and sharing his faith. His character was marked by care, compassion, kindness, and deep understanding, with enough wit to put a smile on anyone's face. He frequently shared belly laughs with friends and family alike. He was always ready to humbly welcome and guide others toward virtue with gentleness and respect. John immersed himself in his faith, serving countless hours through numerous organizations at St. Patrick Parish, most visibly as an usher for over 40 years. He was on a constant mission to share his love and the love of God with others, especially his family.

After an intense but short battle with lung disease, John left this world at the pinnacle of his life with Jesus, and his legacy will remain a light to the path toward eternal happiness for us all.
