Mr. John L. Wright, age 83, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Mena, Arkansas. He was born June 28, 1942, to parents Wilfred Cameron Wright and Vera (Buhl) Wright, in New York City, New York.

John was a Police Lieutenant for the New York City Police Department by profession. He loved reading, eating good food, and was a diehard New York Yankees fan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Linda Wright; son, Daniel Wright and wife Melissa; daughter, Leigh Anne Wilkey and husband Phillip; brother-in-law, Ross Rauh and his late wife Rosemary; sister, Judy Rauh and husband Michael; nieces, Kathy Demas, Alison Chase, Elizabeth Rota, Susan Rauh, and Deana Rauh; nephew, Brian Rauh; as well as by several of great-nieces, great-nephews, other family and friends.

Private services for Mr. John L. Wright are entrusted to Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in John's memory to the Dementia Society of America or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
