Roy-Hetland Funeral HomeJohn (Jack) Wysoski was born on October 3, 1929 in Grafton, ND to John and Amelia (Lizakowski) Wysoski. He grew up in Warsaw, ND and graduated from high school in Minto ND 1948. After high school he went into the Navy as an Aviation Ordnance (AO) man and made the rank of AO2. After the service he went to North Dakota State School of Science for letter press. While there he met Dorothy Winter and later married in 1955 in Grand Forks, ND. They lived in Larimore and Hillsboro, North Dakota during the early years of their marriage before moving to Osakis, MN in the fall of 1961. There they raised their family of three children, Jon, Marcia and Jay. He worked for the Newspapers of Larimore and Hillsboro North Dakota and the Osakis Review until transferring to Banton (Hart Press) in Long Prairie. After their retirement, the Wysoski's enjoyed wintering in south Texas with their son, Jon. They were able to enjoy thirteen years of warm-weather winters there until health issues required staying closer to home. He served many years on the Osakis Planning Board committee. He was a member of the local VFW. Jack enjoyed the Honor Flight with his brother Ronald to Washington DC. Jack was an Usher and member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Osakis, MN.
Jack's main hobby was golfing where he excelled as one of the top golfers in the area. He also played cards with local friends at the Senior Center in Alexandria MN which he immensely enjoyed. His monthly business luncheons with Bungy (Richard Vangsted) were important and memorable to him.
He was a devoted fan for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting and extracurricular school activities.
Jack was a kind and caring husband, father, grandpa and brother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
