John David Yara

John David Yara (Dave) passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
He was born on May 23, 1966 in Las Vegas, NM to Mike Yara and Mercedes Guadalupe Apodaca.
Dave had a passion for horses, he spent most of his life working on a ranch, with
cattle & riding horses. For the last 10 years he has been training horses to run
the track in Oklahoma, New Mexico & Texas.
Dave was so full of life, he was always so happy & cracking jokes no matter what
kind of day he had. On September 26, 2021 he became a very proud grandfather
to his very first grandchild, Ahlani Rae Yara-Gallegos. Every morning he would
always send pictures of his granddaughter to his loved ones. When Dave would
come back after traveling for work he'd see his granddaughter, take her to eat &
was always with his phone out taking pictures of everyone. Dave was very loved
by his family & friends!
Dave was preceded in death by his mother Lupe Yara, his brother Richard
(Cube) Yara, his sister Patty Yara and his Grandparents.
He is survived by his son John David Yara Jr (Bianca), his granddaughter Ahlani Rae Yara-Gallegos, his father Mike Yara (Gloria), his brothers Mike Yara Jr (Evelyn) & Kenneth Yara (Delrose), his nieces Janice Yara & Amber Yara, and nephews Kenneth Yara Jr & Michael Yara, his close cousin Annabelle Estrada, along with many of his extended family & friends.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 7p.m. at Rogers Mortuary. Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Yara Jr, Michael Yara, Art Saiz, Vern Saiz, Jeff Saiz, Art Alirez, Pat Trujillo & Bernard Baca.
Cremation will follow mass and burial of cremains will be at a later date.
