Though it was a short time in life that I met you, I have been fortunate to interact with your family and some friends since your passing.
I was a client of your company and was also happy to have had you in my home, where we spoke not only of me but of you. Your love of family, your closeness to your loving wife, Deborah, whose support you felt in your daily life. You spoke of your children, all of whom you were very proud of, and spoke kindly about each of them as you enumerated and recounted their lives to me, as I shared the story of my life with you. We reciprocated about our lives in the time you were here. Thank you for being a kind, caring person who gave me a more personal view of someone I would work with. As I told you, I don´t do business with people; I do business with friends. It was a privilege to be your client and to find you every bit of an honorable, respectful person, as your friend Monet told me you would be. She looked up to you as a refuge in a stormy sea of life, in fact a lifesaver. I count you as a friend in my life. Thank you for that.
John, in a world often dominated by loud voices and grand gestures, there are those rare individuals whose quiet presence speaks volumes. These words are intended to pay tribute to you as such a man. Now that you have left us, I realize you´ve been a calm figure for many in a sea of chaos, a beacon of serenity and strength. I don´t think you sought the spotlight, but in speaking with your family, your influence and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew you.
Your life was a testament to the power of quiet strength. I felt how you moved through the world with a gentle grace, never needing to shout to be heard. Your actions spoke louder than words ever could. Whether it was without a doubt through the reassuring smile I witnessed on your countenance, a helping hand, or a listening ear, I´m positive you made a profound difference in the lives you touched. You left a page in my life that was better written, and I missed your penmanship in what I realized then, which would be an enduring friendship between men of similar beliefs and behaviors. I miss you.
In my view of you, I know you were a source of unwavering support and love to your family. You were a steadfast confidant to your friends, always ready to lend an ear or offer wise counsel. To the community you were part of, you were a quiet hero, contributing in ways that often went unnoticed but were deeply felt.
Your voice may have been soft-spoken, but your legacy through your family is strong. It is a legacy of kindness, patience, and humility. One lesson you taught is that true strength lies not in the volume of our words but in the depth of our compassion and the quiet consistency of our actions. I remember your gentle laugh as it resonates in my mind´s ear.
I sincerely hope that as you are remembered today and forever, we who are left behind carry forward the lessons you imparted through your life´s example. We strive to be as kind and gentle as you were. To offer help without seeking recognition and live our lives with the quiet dignity you so effortlessly embodied. Wherever you are, the Angels have found a new kindred spirit in the hereafter. God Bless you, John, for being the enviable man you were.
Your voice will always echo in the silence of our hearts. Your quiet presence will forever be felt, reminding us that sometimes, the most extraordinary lives are lived by the most unassuming people. Rest in peace, friend. Your quiet strength will never be forgotten.
