John Zalokar Obituary

John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carole (nee Rufo) Zalokar; his step-son, Brian Leslie (Michele); and his nephews, Michael (Jennifer); Matthew; and Patrick Gilbride. John also leaves his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Louise and James Penjak, and their beloved children and grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rose (nee Strauss) Zalokar, his sister, Mary Kay (Tom) Gilbride; and brother-in-law, Anthony Rufo.
John loved to travel, and his favorite destinations were Jamaica and St. Marteen. He will always be remembered for the wonderful meals he cooked for family and friends, especially his prime rib, his secret recipe popovers, his potent rum punches and his chocolate raspberry torte cakes.
Family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of mass on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Paltown Foundation, 969 Diggs Road, Crownsville, Maryland 21032.

Dear Carole I´m sorry to hear of your husband´s passing. Asking God to comfort you and give you strength. I´m sure angels are welcoming into heaven since you always share your angels at exercise classes at willowick center. The holy water and your. Kindness for others make the special person you are. My sincere condolences. May your memories comfort you.
