John J. Zoltek "Jim", age 63, longtime resident of Ventnor, NJ, passed away peacefully in Galloway after a lengthy illness on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
Jim was born in Philadelphia and migrated to Ventnor NJ in his youth. He graduated Holy Spirit High School in 1977. He worked in the casino business many years before becoming a real estate appraiser, though he was most proud of being a dad to his three kids. Jim loved to laugh and could make nearly anyone laugh until they cried. He was an avid runner and successfully ran the Atlantic City Marathon in 2002, raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He had great love for crossword puzzles, motorcycles, music, dogs, the beach, and above all, his family.
He leaves behind his three children: Stephanie (Erik), Erika, and Jack; five siblings: Dianna, Stanley (Angela), Steven (Kathy), Deanna (Pete) and Sarah (Mark); along with dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Stanley Zoltek Sr. and Sarah Helen Zoltek (nee Costello).
Visitation and a celebration of Jim' life will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood, beginning at 10 AM. Memorial donations can be made in Jim's memory to The Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org.
