Mr. Johnathan Buckley, age 57, of Dudley, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, grew up in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and moved around the world due to his military service, eventually settling in Dudley. He served in the United States Air Force and completed the Communication, Navigation, and Penetration Aids course. John was a member of the 60th Fighter Squadron, known as the "Fighting Crows", and achieved several medals and ribbons while overseas. Later, he became a logistics planner at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins. In his spare time, he enjoyed painting Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer miniatures, creating custom-made model cars, and exploring historical homes, cemeteries, and the local area's history. Johnathan was also a passionate gamer, comic book enthusiast, and anime watcher. Most of all, John loved his children and took great pride in them.

Johnathan is survived by his parents, Jack and Marge Buckley of Lakeland, Florida; three children, Kate Hayden and husband Jacob of Vidalia, Brandyn Buckley and wife Sophie of Sumpter, South Carolina, and Stevyn Buckley and wife Ailaina of Warner Robins; his companion, Mary Calvert of Dudley; his sister, Christine Korff and wife Tricia of Del Rio, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Bryan Buckley, Destry Hayden, and Evelyn Buckley.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, October 4th, at 10:00 in the chapel of Wilkes Funeral Home with Military Honors.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Wilkes Funeral Home of Vidalia.
