Johnathan Davis Obituary
October 8, 2004 – January 12, 2025
Johnathan Davis, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 12, 2025, at
the age of 20 in his hometown of Bakersfield, California.
Born on October 8, 2004, Johnathan was the cherished son of Loretta Davis and Randy
Davis. He was a dedicated student whose academic achievements earned him recognition from Congressman Kevin McCarthy, including the prestigious 23rd Congressional District of California 2022 Merit Award. In 2022, Johnathan graduated as valedictorian of West High School, receiving multiple merit-based scholarships. He went on to attend the University of California, San Diego, where he pursued a degree in Computer Science Engineering.
Johnathan's intelligence and love of learning were remarkable. He had a passion for exploring profound ideas, particularly in psychology and the mysteries of outer space, including his fascination with the moon. An accomplished athlete, he excelled in various sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, karate, flag football, and tennis. In addition to his sports, Johnathan loved to work out every day without missing a beat. While he was naturally reserved, those who knew him well experienced his bright personality and warm presence. Johnathan was
a gentle giant, a friend to all, and a source of kindness and inspiration. Above all, John loved cereal; he would eat cereal for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner.
He is survived by his parents, Loretta and Randy Davis, and his three older siblings: Jose and his wife Cassandra Rodriguez, Danielle Davis, and Destinee Davis. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Alice Davis and Delfina Constancia.
A memorial service will be held on February 1st at Greenlawn Southwest at 12:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m.
