Jonathan Lee Stevens met his appointment on December 2, 2025, at 6:00 a.m.

Jonathan was born on May 31, 1955, in Costa Rica, S.A. to missionary parents. His early years and upbringing gave him a wide range of diverse life experiences that shaped his character and his faith.

After attending Prairie Bible College in Canada for three years, Jonathan joined the United States Air Force, where he served for six years. He later continued his military career in the United States Army for an additional seven years. Following his honorable service, Jonathan worked in a variety of positions throughout the Kansas City, Missouri area.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William (Bill) Franklin and Ruby Sarah (Heide) Stevens, and by both sets of grandparents, William Lee and Nellie Mae (Mosher) Stevens, and David Cornelius and Justina Stella (Reimer) Heide.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Deloris Foreman. He is also survived by four siblings: David Raymond; Sharon Elaine and spouse Philip Hartnagel; Nathan Charles and spouse Karen; and LouAnn Janine. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews who will cherish his memory.

Jonathan’s life was marked by service, faith, and dedication. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
