Johnathon Tyler Hanson, 37, entered into rest on Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Johnathon was born on August 21, 1986, in Warner Robins, Georgia. A lifelong resident of Warner Robins, Johnathon graduated from Houston County High School in 2004. He went on to become a production operator for Armstrong Industries. When he was younger, Johnathon loved to ride his BMX bike, collect baseball cards, and enjoyed eating skittles. As time went on, his hobbies and interests became more hands-on. He was a licensed amateur Hamm radio operator, and he built his own antenna for its use. He also lent his hardworking hands to working on cars, fishing, and gardening. In his free time, he loved any time with his family he could spend making memories and loving animals. His presence will be deeply missed by those he held most dear.

Johnathon was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Hanson, Sr., in-laws, David “Bear” Patterson, and Frances Patterson, and grandparents, Bessie Barker Hanson, and G. W. Hanson.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Katie Hanson; brother, Daniel Hanson, Jr. (Niki McCallum) and their son, Chase Hanson; aunts, Pam Hanson Tanner, and Linda Mattingly (Jim); cousins, Raymond Tanner Jr. (Kelli) and their children, Tyler and Dakota and Melissa Tanner Knighten (Jay) and their children, Jaxson Tanner, Taylor Embry, and Caleb Embry; mother, Valerie Cheek Larson (Rod) and aunts and uncles, Kevin Cheek (Miriam), Joanne Cheek Beaulieu (Neil), and Keith Cheek (Anne).

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.  Afterward, Johnathon will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
