Johnie "Bunny" Torain, 70, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born on April 9, 1955, in Columbia, South Carolina, and raised by the late Nathan Bostic and Florine Elam, Johnie lived a life marked by love, service, and unwavering dedication to others.

Known for her warm heart, sharp wit, and tireless spirit, Johnie devoted her life to uplifting those around her. She served in the U.S. Army for over 11 years, and for more than two decades, Johnie continued her mission to serve by working with the State of Ohio's Department of Affordable Housing.

A long-time member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, she served as a Deaconess and co-chair of the teen mentoring program.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Walter; daughters Savonne (Nikki) and Shenika (Ashley); and her cherished grandchildren Diondre, Cayden, Amina, Brooklynn, Thomas, Quinn, Walter, and Robin. She also leaves behind her loving brothers, sister-in-laws, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will continue to carry her light.

Johnie "Bunny" Torain lived a life of purpose, kindness, and grace - a life that made a difference. She will be missed deeply and remembered always.

Visitation will be held on October 24, 2025 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43215. Burial will process to Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
