Johnnie Lee Billingsley was born on May 29, 1950 in Mintercity, Mississippi to Elizabeth Billingsley. Later in his teenage years, Johnnie moved to River Rouge, Michigan where he attended and graduated from River Rouge High School, class of 1968. At an early age, Johnnie accepted Christ at Union Second Baptist Church. He was employed at Firestone Steel Plant in 1968 for many years after that, then later on worked within the River Rouge community. He loved to laugh and crack jokes. Johnnie loved to be around his family and friends. On November 2, 1968, Johnnie married the love of his life Margaret (Warren). They have shared many beautiful memories and years together. On August 10, 2025, Johnnie was called home to his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by: his father Ben Citchen; his brother Lawrence Citchen Sr.; grandson Stephon; two great-grandchildren, seven aunts Rolina, O.D., Ida Mae, Grace Mae, Ella Wee, Josephine, Earnestine; two uncles Willie James and Arthur; three sister-in-law Johnnie Clara, Dierdre and Roberta; one special friend Corlis Jones. He leaves to cherish: mother Elizabeth (Citchen); wife Margaret; three sons Anthony (Jackie), Leshawn (Keisha) and Karee; one daughter Alichia; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandson; two brothers Eddie Citchen and Steve Citchen; one sister Ruthie; three sister-in-law Otha Mason, Glenda Citchen-Griffin, Deborah Citchen; four special nieces Michele, Brandi, Kimberly, Tameka; two special nephews Lawrence Sr. and Shawntre; favorite cousins Richard Citchen, Sr. and Danielle Citchen; three bonus children Jerry, Shanice, Kanice; two close friends Reginald Gordon, Dwight Black; one aunt Dorothy (Elmo); two uncles Bennie (Lillie) and James McCoy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
