Johnnie Reed "J.B." Caldwell II, 51, of Shelby, NC, passed away on December 27, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland. Born December 30, 1973 in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late Johnnie Reed Caldwell and Diane Baity Caldwell. J.B. had a dedication to quality in his work as a lawn care and landscaping provider. He used that same dedication and passion to serve his community as a volunteer fireman with multiple fire departments in the area, including Kings Mountain, Grover, and Bethlehem. J.B. cherished his role as a firefighter and never took for granted the chances he had to serve others. He attended Second Baptist Church of Cherryville along with his beloved fiancée Donna Reynolds. J.B. loved Donna with all his heart, and they took good care of each other as they each battled illnesses and sicknesses over the past few years. He was also a proud father who had great love for his children. J.B. will be remembered as a loving, caring man and a great friend.
