Johnnie Kemp Dunn

Johnnie Kemp Dunn, a retired mechanic well-regarded in the automotive community, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Forest, Mississippi. Born on October 17, 1948, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, Johnnie lived a life full of passion and creativity, evident in his many hobbies, including woodworking, inventing, and collecting various items. His love for animals was a cherished aspect of his life, reflecting his compassionate nature.

Johnnie is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Dunn, of 40 years; his son, Danny Dunn; and daughters, Tammy Dunn, Sandra Dunn, Tabitha Clark, Mandy Fleming, and Georgie Spell. He also leaves behind his sister, Glenda Joyce Sims, who will forever remember his warmth and kindness.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Dunn Sr.; brothers W.H. Dunn Jr. and Joey Dunn; and sisters Linda Sue Carter, Rosie Neese, and Marie McCrory. Also, his late grandson, Joshua Dunn, and great-grandson, Taylor Dunn, both of whom held a special place in his heart.

Visitation will be held on December 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, at Wolf Funeral Services, located at 3054 Hwy 80 West, Morton, MS 39117. Johnnie's legacy of hard work, creativity, and familial love will resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
