Johnnie Lee Harper passed away at the age of 96, on October 17, 2025, in Shreveport, LA. He was born on October 13, 1929, in Keithville, LA.
He leaves to continue his legacy his sons, John (Sweets) Smith, Charles (Bear) Smith, Larry Harper; his daughters, Sally Joseph (Rhea), Debra Harper, Jo Ann Harper, Cathy Harper-Cooper (Cat), Brenda Sims, and two whom he had the honor of loving daughter, Latisha Jenkins and son Leshay Jenkins. He leaves his brothers Jim Robinson and Artis Robinson, sisters Vera Robinson, Lottie Johns, and Nellie Pipkins.
He is preceded in death by two grandchildren Jennifer Williams and Ashley Harper; brothers, Alvon Robinson, J.T. Robinson, Wesley Morris, Arthur Robinson, sisters, Earnestine Graham, Alberta Whitaker, Lizzie Pitts, Susie Coleman, Emma Carthen.
His legacy continues with 25+ grandchildren, 30+ great-grandchildren, 6+ great-great-grandchildren. He was blessed to have a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family-friends.
