Johnnie Mae was one of a kind.
She never needed words to teach us love.
Though she could not hear or speak, she understood us - and we understood her.
Her kindness spoke louder than any voice ever could.
A gentle, patient, faithful but firm matriarch who poured into generation after generation.
Her love was seen, felt, and lived.
