Johnnie Faye Stark

Mrs. Johnnie Faye Cornes Stark, 79, a native of Merryville and a resident of Franklin died, Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8:23 p.m. at the Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. Mrs. Johnnie is survived by her husband, Samuel David Stark of Franklin; her son, Michael Milton Stark and his wife, Kim, of Shreveport; her daughter, Donna Stark Duck and her husband, Joe, of Franklin; her sister, Mary Cornes Nash of Kemah, TX.; nine grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Stephen Stark; her father, James Edgar Cornes; her mother, Culva Hennigan Cornes; a brother, Edgar Milton Cornes; and two sisters, Eddie Cornes Norwood and Georgia Cornes Baggett. The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday, Januray 7, 2010 from 10 a.m. until time of services at the First United Methodist Church in Franklin. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie will be held at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Franklin with Brother Mark Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in the Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin, Louisiana 70538.
